Any ideas, looks to me like a Lupin or Foxglove, sorry pic is small, was sent to me on FB Messenger, but this is how it is now, north of England

Not lupin ... possibly a foxgove but not quite right, however there are several different types ... I think it could be a Verbascum.

Verbascum. They self seed happily in my garden and pop up in the oddest of places.
