Strange looking sweet pea

I've grown a variety of sweet peas and one looks like this. It has done for a couple of weeks. Can anyone help me - has it gone to seed or are they flower buds?!

    Not a sweet pea  :)
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

A stranger has crept in - pull it out carefully :)
  • @Fairygirl Do you know what it is? I don't mind it so may just leave it as a lot of the sweet peas (actual ones 😃) have clung to it.

It looks like it will produce copious amounts of seed, whatever weed it is..  A photo of the leaves of the intruder would help ID it.
A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.

No idea, but as @BobTheGardener says - it's going to have a shed load of seeds, so it wouldn't be great to leave in with the sweet peas. They won't appreciate competition for nutrients and water   :)

Sometimes there are weed seeds in compost, and sometimes they just find their way in.
