Can anyone tell me the name of the beautiful pink climbing rose that was behind Adam Frost when he was potting Sempervivums in tonight’s Gardeners World?

I have heard Adam mention the rose ' Gertrude Jekyll '  in his garden before, so I wonder if it could possibly be that. There are lots of rose experts here though, so someone will be able to help you I'm sure 🙂

Thank you so much for your answers.I had a feeling it might be “Gertrude”.I am reorganising my garden before I have new fencing and will need to replace my climbers.I will definitely buy”Gertrude”.Thank you,that is most helpful.

I thought it looked like Gertrude Jekyll.

Gertrude is quite a deep pink? Gorgeous healthy rose with an amazing scent so I would definitely recommend it but that rose looks a little paler than mine.

Gertrude is not a true climber. She can grow quite tall when happy Kept well fed she can have deep pink flowers. Her scent is wonderful, I have her growing in a very large deep container near my conservatory door to enjoy her. She is from the David Austen stable.

On Instagram today Adam said it's Gertrude Jekyll

My Gertrude was the same colour this year (opening deeper but paling to this colour).
