Picked our first red currants this morning.
Amazing that this year we have had a great crop that the blackbirds haven't taken.
Had some after our meal this evening....lovely and so fresh.

Wow that’s early. Mine only finished flowering last week.
I’m afraid I leave my three mature plants for the birds. They love them so much and they make me smile as they wobble about trying to pick them. 😊

We have another plant (not sure name) that is only just showing signs of berries but still very small.
Great to have them at different times so that we can harvest longer.
