Horrible yellow bidens

B3B3 Posts: 27,306
It's  worse in real life. More muddy.
I'm  a bit peeved that it looks ok in the photo so you will need to use your imagination
Can anyone think of anything that would  match it besides the compost heap?

Try planting it with orange plants to break up the yellow.

I have some mixed cosmos, some of which might turn out orange but I really hoped to cool it down a bit.

I’m not keen on yellow flowers, try planting it with pink petunias, It’ll  clash beautifully.😱😱😱😀

cream, white and orange to make it fade into the spectrum (osteos?). Or rich purple (salvia?) to make it less muddy

I have cream osteos and some overwintered that I'm waiting to see what colour they are. Tried purple, it doesn't work.
    It's a really healthy bggggr . Isn't it always the way😒
I'll try it against the cream. If that doesn't work, I'll use it to brighten up a corner that I never look in.

What about more of a mauve than purple?

Or ... something chocolatey ... a dark leaved dahlia, chocolate cosmos or even dark browny plum coloured coleus?

For me, it's not so much the yellow ... it's the way it jars with that shade of green ...

Give them to me as my bidens look dead lol.
The rain smashed them and they haven't recovered

I bought a tray of coleus yesterday. I picked the one with the most dark ones. That might work. Glossy park bench green certainly doesn't help.
Not odd at all @shazza 3 just different taste😊
