I've had a  clematis Josephine doing great and I've noticed all my top flowers have died?? Not fully opened?? Leaves and stems are all fine.
Any ideas please

Can we see some photos please?

Most likely short of water. It can then make it hard for buds to fully open. Slugs can also eat the emerging buds, so have a look and see if there's damage to them.
It can also be slug damage to stems. It isn't always fully obvious, but you would see dead foliage too.

Possibly clematis wilt, but without a photo, it's difficult. Here's a link which describes that so that you can judge yourself  :)
