Cutting back a Peony

How long should I wait before I cut back the stems of a Peony once it's finished flowering?

I don't cut mine back - only the flowering stems when flowers are finished.  :)
It'll die back completely by itself over autumn/winter.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
  • Yes, I normally leave it but as it's got so big, I have to do something so perhaps I'll just prop it up out of the way!

Yes - they need good supports put in early on or they flop in rough weather and get damaged. Mine have a permanent support   :)
