Honeysuckle and fuchsia hedge

I have a very ugly post fence between two levels of my garden. The posts are currently being covered by honeysuckles. Would fuchsias be happy planted between the honeysuckle to cover the gaps? They are around a metre or so wide. Thank you in advance.

I have found fuchsia don't really thrive in shade and honeysuckle seem to grow over and can swamp  plants to some extent so not sure if this would be the best combination, but others may be able to comment from specific experience of combining the two.
