It looks like a pyracantha. Is it thorny, and did you notice any berries last autumn?

Thank you for posting. We have been in the house 6 years now and this is first year it has shown up. No sign of any berries yet.

If you keep it hard pruned year round, you wouldn't get any flowers or berries.
