Geum, second flush if cut back?

My Geum Mai Tai looks over. Very few new buds coming. Can’t keep up with deadheading. If I cut all the stalks off, will more flowers come?

Hi there, if you remove the entire flower stalk once the individual flowers start to fade you will encourage new flower stalks to form - the plant will divert its energy from seed making to reflowering. (It looks really good with the Iris and other flowers in that bed!)
    Wirral. Sandy, free draining soil.

@Plantminded thanks for the reply - will do it now. I only have the one Mai Tai but it seems to go well with everything luckily :)
