Is it woody around the base? Check out Coronilla Valentina Subsp Glauca.'Citrina'. This plant can flower on and off all year round, but mainly in early spring time.
I have always called them Coronilla shrubs, although in this country, it's commonly grown as a wall shrub because it needs warmth and protection from the cold. I have just checked on RHS, and they name it as Scorpion Vetch if that helps.
Yes, thanks, I have mine in a raised bed at the back near the fence and beside a honeysuckle. I have asked my local Dobbies and they told me a"Honeysuckle", a Birdsfoot Trefoil, which I knew wasn't, so great, I now know exactly what it is. Many thanks. Eithne
