Cape gooseberry

I've grown these cape gooseberry plants. I'm going to transplant them into pots.

What kind of soil do they prefer ?

Can I keep them outdoors now ?

I grew them in the ground (improved clay) and they did fine, so don't think they're fussy.  If growing in pots then a mix of JI#3 and MPC would be fine.
A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.

Agree with @BobTheGardener - mine are already flowering but I sowed them some time ago.
I usually grow them in troughs outside ( SW coastal area ) but I put one in the cold GH border this year - bit of an error as it grew rather too well and is becoming romantically involved with one of the tomatoes ;)
Depends what the weather is like with you but I'd separate them and grow on for a bit before putting in their final place - whether it be pot or ground.
