Ladybird. Have I done the right thing?

I was cutting a bunch of roses and when I was trimming the leaves,I noticed a ladybird laying her eggs.. I tucked the leaf upside down in the middle of some clematis leaves. I thought it would be safer there from the wind. What do you think?

    As long as there's some aphids close by on your clematis ...

  • I found a few babies wandering around my greenhouse, they are now happily munching their way around my climbing rose… 🐞
    Marne la vallée, basically just outside Paris 🇫🇷, but definitely Scottish at heart.
