    Sow Thistle. Sonchus Oleraceus.
    Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

    It's a Sowthistle - probably the prickly one Sonchus asper.

    I don't know what you mean by the English name, but the common name is Sowthistle.
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....



    I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
