Rhododendron problems

ThefahzaThefahza Posts: 1
Hi.
I have a small new rhododendron which is in a pot . I’ve got the correct soil, fertiliser etc but, the leaves have gone brown and all have fallen off. I think I’ve watered it correctly and have taken care of it but it seems to be struggling.

Can you add a couple of photos to help us out?

I lost a small rhodie to frost this year. Exactly the same symptoms as yours.

@Thefahza -Frost alone won't kill them, unless it was below about minus fifteen or twenty for a spell of time. They're supremely tough shrubs. It could happen if it was a young plant that had been grown undercover and then suddenly put out in freezing weather, and/or if there were other factors. It can be a combination of things, so more info is needed  :)
It's more likely that it's already weakened for other reasons, the most common being that it's been dried out and can't support the foliage. In a pot, that's even more likely.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
