Lupin Question

Hey everyone. Where I see this type of thing on a hybrid tea rose I’d remove the smaller buds to channel energy into the main one for a bigger head. In this case on a lupin should I do the same?

I wouldn't ... the smaller buds will flower after the main one is over, thus extending the flowering period of the plant.
I wouldn't do it for HT roses either, unless growing for show.
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
