Feedback on Design Idea

I posted a bit of a stream of consciousness last night about what I’d like to do to mygarden and someone suggested- rightly-  that sketching it out would get better feedback. Above you can see two current pics and a sketch of my idea.

The garden is north facing, and the house was previously a student house so my three years here have been spent tidying and populating the big old concrete patio with some containers. The bottom and right of the garden get the best unimpeeded sun, however that space is currently occupied only by hedges and a shed- and that seems a waste. The focus of my proposed work would be to add a seating area, beds, and greenhouse in those areas, and to put a new larger shed in the bottom left corner of the garden (we have no garage and need the storage). That corner gets less sun than you’d think thanks to trees in a neighbors garden.

many feedback or suggestions would be most gratefully received!

Much better with a drawing 👌

I like the overall design. Not sure what the length of the hedge is but guess it's around 9-10m, in which case it might be a good idea to either break it up with planting something with a vertical interest in the middle directly opposite the pergola and/or some low perennials in front all along the hedge to create a bit more interest for the seating area under the pergola.

@Elfer breaking it might be the best idea. At this point I don’t want to create another chunky bed over there as I want to keep good grass space for the kids. I don’t know what a thin bed with some perennials would end up looking like.

Edit: I could put the Magnolia Susan in there as it has quite an upright habit. Might get too much competition from the hedge.
