Compost making

Hi, I am having a go at making my own compost I have 2 questions.
1) Can spent compost be put into the compost bin?
2) Can I put put my chicken bedding in  (mix of oil seed rape straw and poop)?

    I recall Geoff Hamilton saying not to put soil or compost into the compost bin as it won't contribute to the composting process (as there's nothing to compost in soil or compost) and the compost won't get to the sort of temperatures needed to turn the waste into compost.
    I suppose if it's only a small amount it'll make no difference.
    I spread my used compost on flower/veg beds

    Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad.

    Same here.  Used planting compost goes onto the beds and chicken straw and poops go on the compost heaps and  contributes to making an excellent soil conditioner and top dressing for beds.
