This is a rather pretty weed. Can you tell me what it is, please?

    It looks like Achillea (Yarrow)
    Some are cultivated varieties, some are not
    Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit.
    Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad.

    Achillea. Are you sure it's a weed variety?
    Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

    I never planted it. So it has blown in from somewhere. And we're in the middle of two fields, so I doubt it's cultivated!

    They pop up everywhere round here.
    Plenty in the fields and on grass verges with either pink or white flowers that lsat well, even they look good (to me). They are usually no more than about 8-10" high
    I have a few cultivated varieties that grow much taller
