What is this?

I am trying to help a friend resurrect a derelict flower bed and it’s full of buttercups and this??? It has obvious runners and very deep roots. I feel like I’m digging  to China to get it out. I can only assume I am risking it propagating everywhere if I leave bits? All help gratefully appreciated as this is a huge garden and frankly I only have a couple of days to try to get something done with it!

    That's a mixture of Creeping Buttercup and Creeping Cinquefoil which also has yellow flowers. It's a PITA.

    Edited to add:  There's also a bit of Field Bindweed there. Make sure you get the roots of that too ... they tend to snap.
