Is this a weed?

Hi guys,

I have a pretty yellow plant growing in the garden but it is absolutely everywhere and just wanted to know if it was a weed?

    It looks like geum urbanum. A total PITA.

    I found one in my front garden and let it grow. I now find them all over. I now dig up anything new on the basis of I might lose a fabulous new plant but odds are it's a weed.

    Yes I can see it's gonna be a pain. It is all over the place but when I come to redesign the garden I will make sure I get on top of it otherwise it will take over again!
