Tree types?

JackieWJackieW Posts: 15
Hello, I have three self seeded trees in my garden, I should say in pots in my garden and I am not sure what any of them are. Therefore, I am wondering if any of you lovely people out there can help me identify them?
I am thinking one may be a beech but it doesn't have the hair edge to it's leaves, one I thought a sycamore but totally unsure and the final one I am convinced is a Goat Willow. Our neighbours have a Goat Willow in their garden which throws out seed like there is no tomorrow. Please see attached photo's, any help will be gratefully received.

Yes, sycamore, beech, goat willow. You can keep the beech, they make good hedging plants, if you haven't space for a tree :)

Thank you Buttercupdays, I will certainly have to find new homes for these beauties.

Unless you have a big garden, I wouldn't keep them, especially the sycamore which will be very big. Maybe beech, as it can be pruned.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Thanks Busy-Lizzie we don’t have a garden large enough so will look to donating them to a nature reserve. ❤️

Beech OK. Nature reserves near us are getting rid of sycamores, to let the light in more.

Hi fidgitbones I will see how it goes, really don’t want to be sending to the compost heap.
