Is this a rat? Sorry it’s the best picture I could get. It’s eating the chickens food.

    Yes ... we used to use hen feeders suspended from the roof to make it harder for the rats.

    Ok. I have since moved it up to the perch level. They have food inside the coop too which is raised. Should I try and get rid of them or just move all food out of reach ?

    It’s almost impossible to find anywhere out of reach of a rat. :/

    I used to have pet rats and they could jump surprisingly high.

    Rats can climb anything, squeeze through tiny holes and gnaw through concrete. Phenomenal creatures.

    I’m probably never going to get rid of them either. I have a stream at the bottom of the garden with woodland behind. Should I try and get rid or just leave them?
