Aquilegia Downy Mildew?

    I get it in my garden but not as much as before. Just the odd one now. They're such indiscriminate little breeders, I suppose it was inevitable that resistant plants would emerge eventually.
    In London. Keen but lazy.

    I agree, most likely lack of water and not the killer disease as far as my experience goes.  I had ADM arrive here about 3 or 4 years ago and have lost most of mine now (I was getting into crossing varieties and had some nice results.)  :'(
    However, there are still self-seeded crosses coming up (the wild variety grew here before I moved in) so I'm hoping one or two with natural resistance eventually emerge.  I'm breeding heucheras now instead, which are equally unfussy and love similar conditions, so out comes a sick aquilegia and in goes a heuchera!  :D
