Has anybody grown Generous Gardener climbing rose? I've read that the blooms only last for roughly two days - is this true? Can't decide between this or Blush Noisette?
I grew it in my last garden and loved it - very healthy, beautiful flowers that certainly lasted more than 2 days and a lovely perfume too. Trained as horizontally or diagonally as possible and well fed and watered when needed and it will be fab.

The Generous Gardener’s flower is what I would call a modern looking rose. A beautiful rich pink, large petals and a nice perfume. It flowers on and off for a decent period of time. The stems are long and arching, easily trained and quite vigorous and numerous.
Blush Noisette is a completely different kettle of fish. The stems are shorter, much more stiff and upright and come in such numbers that the plant looks like a small dense bush. The flowers are a pale pink with a definite hint of lilac about them. They are small buttons and grow in clusters. The plant has a very long flowering season. The flower buds on mine are forming just now and it will continue to flower until the late autumn. No noticeable scent, for me at least.
Apophthegm - a big word for a small thought. If you live in Derbyshire, as I do.
Thanks for the replies. After seeing the shape of the bush Blush Noisette grows into I think I'm swayed towards Generous Gardener, although both are beautiful roses.
