Plant ID from a cut flower

Can anyone identify the skinny blue flower in the photo please?
Think it's a Veronica but can anyone be more specific.

    Veronica - yes (love them).  Have a look at the 'moody blues' range - could be mauve or sky blue.

    Thank you very much. It's so pretty I would like to try to get some for the garden. 
    Some clever folks on here. Someone knows everything.

    We all are !  I started gardening with my grandad when I was 8.  I’m 65 now and still asking questions on this fine forum !

    That's a lovely story. It's just impossible to become bored with gardening.
