Plant ID please

DedekindDedekind Posts: 171
Can someone identify this please? Next door had a swamp of these (now mowed) and they are appearing in my garden now, the one in the pic is in a wall.

Looks like a weed but not sure.. very long stems.

Hard to tell with an upside down photo and an incomplete plant! They could be ox-eye daisies.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Agree, the leaves definitely look like the ox-eye daisies I (happily) grow in my meadow. I don't know easy they are to get rid of as I love mine.

They do self seed very freely, if happy, but I love mine too. Easy enough to pull up before or after flowering.
  • @Fire, @WildFlower_UK and @Busy-Lizzie are spot on. I have just seen this plant growing in a border by the lock. It's in much better soil and therefore a more robust plant but the leaves and stems are correct. The specimen I spotted is just about to flower. @Dedekind you should expect to see flower buds forming, if they are not already present.
