ZootsQ1. Willow tree.

Hi on here. My willow here..

.. is my best 'grower' by a mile of all Ive planted (new garden, my 1st ever, after clearing a neglected 1/3rd acre 4 yrs ago) so much so Im wondering if I need to do anything with it. It seems to be heading leftwards.

Do I just let it do its thing, or maybe nip off some lower bits? Prop/ encourage it to go dead straight perhaps? On a stream bank so I think it likes it here.

Sorry its sideways!

Thanks. Zoot.

    You need to crop it a bit or resize it so it sits the right way up - bit of a feature on here.  What kind of willow is it?

    @Lyn hey great thanks!

    So its a question of resize or rotating it using the site's fuNctions then?

    Anyway I wonder if the willow type can be ID'd by this photo? I was going to take a better one.. will do tmrw.

    Thanks. Z

    Go to your photo on your PC and then click on the right button of your mouse or touch pad.   You will see options to edit or modify, resize, save and so on.   Choose edit or modify to crop and resize to reduce its size.   Save the new copy and then load that using the postcard icon.

    Hi Obelixx.. trouble is I have no mouse with an ipad, tried all to find the equivalent 'right click' of a mouse, but cant. Only way i can add a photo, is within the ipad as its the only camera i have now, so I cant use my laptop with its mouse/ touchpad.

    I wonder if just adding photos in landscape, not portrait, might work for now.. seems not! Oh dear.

    Thanks zoot.

    Can you email it form your ipad and pick it up on your PC?  You can access the forum from the PC too.  Much easier.

    If the photos are stored on your iPad just cropping them a little before posting should work.

    I’m using an iPad now. I clicked on the photo and pressed save. I then brought up the photo and clicked edit. I then clicked the button which allows you to straighten the photo. When you press that another button appears which allows you to rotate the photo 90° at a time. I did so to put it the right way up, then slightly cropped it, then saved it, then reposted it here.

    @BenCotto ..then you are a very nice man! thanks very much. Actually I was just thinking maybe the 'default' way for an ipad.. is portait, & I took my pic landscape (as seems normal for a cam).. & maybe that's the reason its 90* ?

    Is my pic generally 'too big', hence suggesting I resize it-?
