Passion flower problems

tom_notontom_noton Posts: 6
So after some deliberations my girlfriend gave the Passion flower a hard cut back in late March. No signs of growth yet. How long before we write it off as a gonna? It’s a shame because its got so big. Did we go a bit to hard with the cutting? Or too early?

Which passion flower ?  Some are hardier than others.
    Which aspect ?
It also looks as if there are some roots above  ground ?
The proximity of the fence could well create a "rain shadow".
The basic passionflower ( Passiflora c. ) is usually difficult to kill once established.

Hi. Thank you for the reply. Yes it’s a standard passionflower. It’s gone mad year on year. I don’t normally cut it back but this year I did and I think I’ve killed it... defo no issue with rain shadow it gets plenty of water and light.
