Does anyone know what flower this is? It grows to around 1.5m but gets very woody and shrubby at that point. I cut it back hard last year but it hasn’t responded too well.
Its leaves are a bit like an Arctotis, African Daisy. If that's what it is then it is probably suffering from cold weather. As they aren't totally hardy people often treat them as annuals.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
I’ve just had a look at an arctotis, but the flowers seem to big to be the one I have. It has been perfectly fine for the past four winters. Might have to go to the nursery where I bought it from in summer and get the name then.
