Little acer need a haircut?

Basically the little acer was out in the middle of the garden, wind beaten and frost's, should I cut the spindles off, or wait to see what occurs and trim as necessary

    Assume it's the one in the left. I wouldn't prune anything unless it's obviously dead. It's the wrong time of year. You must prune when the sap isn't flowing and that's mid winter.
    In London. Keen but lazy.

    Sorry. Yes mean the one on the left, thanks I shall wait until winter is here again,
