Unknown yellow floribunda, strong citrus fragrance. I cut this back quite hard in winter and looks like it has responded well and like it may get quite large. Looks very healthy at moment. I am intending to relocate it to my new rose bed later this year.
Lady of the Lake taking off @Mr. Vine Eye good to see isn't it?..
@owd potter .. all lovely roses beautifully planted... I could stick my neck out and tell you what I think your mystery rose is but it might spoil it for you.. and I could be wrong, but I'd be surprised if it's not what I think it is.. ..so much to look forward to in your garden...
@Marlorena, many thanks for your kind compliments, lovely to get confirmation as a novice rosarian I'm hoping that you will be able to ID my mystery climber for me but, as you say, I'd prefer you bite your tongue for another month or so until it blooms and I post a pic of it. Otherwise I will not be able to resist searching for it and I am enjoying the anticipation of what this may eventually show itself as (colour mainly for where it is located)
To remove some roses from the blasted deer's reach and to give those with BS and mildew (already!) a very dry environment I've installed a rainbutt on my balcony and schlepped some smaller roses up. These include Arthur de Sansal with lovely fat buds (and mildew and sulphur marks)Heidi KlumPearl Drift (aha this shows our lawn in its normal state, it was going brown before last night's rain)And the ever pleasing Diamond Eyes

Nov planted bare roots, leafing out beautifully, no buds as yet.
No BS or aphids either thankfully
already shooting well.
Should I apply rose feed to these yet, or wait until leaf break?
Ghislaine de Feligonde
Roald Dahl
Lichfield Angel
Vanessa Bell
This is my most anticipated rose.
