    Acer pseudoplatanus 'Brilliantissimum'
    A stunning tree in spring.
Rest of the year very ordinary.

    Perthshire. SCOTLAND .
  • Ooh, thankyou both. Silver surfer...it does look brilliant now. I never noticed it before so as you say, it may be because its unremarkable the rest of the time. I like the shape of it somehow, nice and uniform.

I used to love this tree.
In spring just glorious...I adored it.
Then years ago I heard radio 4 Gardeners question time.
They were asked to name least loved plant.
I may be wrong but I think it was Pippa Greenwood..she chose it as her least liked tree.
I looked at it with fresh eyes...she is right in some ways.
    You look...you decide.

Thats interesting. It struck me immediately for its uniformity and simple style (i am a person who likes flowers such as shatsa daisys for their form. I shall look again and see if i can dislike it in some way.!
