Am i too late to plant autumn blooming flower bulbs?

Went to a couple of nurseries and was told that they normally sell out autumn flower bulbs by mid spring.. Am i too late to plant autumn blooming flower bulbs now?

    No, if you can get them now, plant them. Which reminds me, I have a bag of freebie gladioli corms in the shed.
