I saw this beauty today... is it a variegated star jasmine? It’s a woody climber (wish I took a better photo!)

Hello squirral. It is not a jasmine and I think it is one of the Euonymus family.

It looks like a variegated Pittosporum to me.

Really? It’s a woody climber - I know the photo isn’t clear but it was climbing up a pillar.

Here’s another photo (slightly clearer). Photo is the wrong way round (not sure how to change that)

Euonymus, will 'climb' (not self clinging though) up a wall. @Borderline I thought Pittosporum at first but the picture doesn't appear to show the striking black stems I associate with Pittosporum.

If it's winding up a pillar, then unlikely to be a Pittosporum. You might be right.

I am pleased that you have found your plant squirral. When it flowers you will know for sure. I am very envious!

It still looks more like a variegated euronymus to me.

  • It’s beautiful! I saw it in the park but will now look for it at the garden center...

It looks like my variegated star jasmine (which lives in the garage)
