Fill with fairy lights? It makes for a pretty light feature. Take battery operated ones outside for the evening.
That's what I did with an old terrarium @Fire and it looks rather good. Lots of choice of battery power fairy lights around these days, too. Mine only cost £2.50.

You can also half fill with water, maybe some pretty pebbles in the bottom and then float flowers such as hellebore in them. Cheap table dec and you get to see the flowers which all too often face downwards.
