Plant ID please

Hi everyone
I was given this plant last Easter and it never flowered. Its now going into flower. What plant is it please. I hope its not a weed

    It looks like an aquilegia ... aka Columbine or Granny's bonnet ... they often take two years to flower.

    Hello elliss. It is an aquilegia often called Granny's Bonnet. A cottage garden favourite and definitely not a weed.
