STIHL HLA 56 Cordless long-reach hedge trimmer .

Treated myself to one of these last week ; offer included the second AK20 battery for half price . Strictly for use in my own garden .
On a full charge they reckon approx.30 minutes of actual running time ! I can cut a lot of hedge in half an hour and am more than pleased with it .
Compared to the petrol engined KM-130 this new toy is a real pleasure to use , being both very quiet and very light .
I can personally recommend it to anyone and am quite looking forward to giving my hedges their next trim .
I suppose that's a bit sad really! ;)

Not sad, but useful to know.
I recently bought a Stihl battery lawnmower and I'm very pleased with it, so easy to use and powerful enough for a big lawn. I was wondering about a strimmer which uses the same batteries. Only downside is the price!
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

We also changed from a petrol mower to a Stihl battery mower.
So much more easier to use without a  lot of fuss.
Also included 2 batteries but on eco mode one does the job around the orchard paths.
Yes the price is high but then the petrol mower was higher and had all the added follow ons before and after use.

    Hello Busy-Lizzie !
For just over two-hundred pounds the FSA-57 strimmer (Stihl) sounds like a good deal .
Including again a second battery for half-price plus the charger unit , I may consider one of these as well .
Seems to be the way the world is going ; with using petrol tools an awful lot in the course of my job I am recently finding the noise and smell very annoying .
Must be an age thing! :)
