What is this please?
It’s probably one of the species tulip, maybe lilac wonder. It’s coming up through the leaves of aquilegia.
There are at least three things there. The pink and yellow flower and strappy leaves are a tulip, possibly Tulip bakerii "Lilac Wonder" (I have this one and it is a reliable repeater, comes back every year). The leaves on the left are probably Aquilegia but another possibility is Thalictrum aquilegiafoilium. On the right the narrower 3-part leaves are something else but I'm not sure what.
Doncaster, South Yorkshire. Soil type: sandy, well-drained
Oh yes I can see the tulip leaves now. It was at my local park and I thought it was some kind of geranium, silly me. Thank you.
