Do cat repellent spikes work?

RuthmshawRuthmshaw Posts: 45
Thinking of buying some plastic cat repellent spikes as my usual methods of deterring the neighbourhood felines is not being effective. They are fairly expensive to buy so I wondered if anyone had tried them and if so do they do the job?

It depends a great deal on how the cats access your garden. Can they jump over the wall, slip through the gate, scramble along a branch? I haven't tried any method because I like cats, but I believe the water sprayers are probably the most effective because cats hate to be wet. They also avoid injury to man and beast.
