Mutant daffodils?

Hi everyone, while walking in Windsor Great Park I stumbled across a field of what I thought were daffodils from afar, but up close... I'm not so sure! Would anyone know if these are some kind of mutant daffodil, or something else? They look almost a bit like brugmansia (in my opinion) but also like daffodils... mystery! Thanks in advance!
