Hole in Garden

I’ve just discovered this hole at the side of my house, it seems to lead to a small tunnel.

Not actually sure if it’s been there for a while but just noticed it.  Think it might from mice? Not sure, but don’t think bees or wasps would be able to move the stones to get to the dirt.

Anyone seen this before or have any thoughts?

I would say mice rather than rat as the hole looks small.

Thanks, that’s what I thought - might be because of all the cold weather we’ve had!
