Plant/ weed ID please

This grows in the gravel out the front of my house and had a pink flower which butterflies seem to like! I'm guessing it's a weed but wondered what it was?

Have a look at red valerian/ centranthus ruber, it might be it.

I'm not sure, my centranthus ruber has broader leaves and green stems.

I spent from the first message u til now cutting all the dead parts away and managed to find one that has flowered 😊
