Pruning / shaping shrub.
in Plants
Hello all.
I’m not much of a experienced gardener, and I’m looking after a garden for the first time in my life on my own. I’ve had this shrub which I can’t remember the name of for almost 2 years now and it’s grown plenty in that time. (Pictures below)

I would like to prune and shape if possible but I am scared of killing it off! It needs to fill out a little.
How would I prune? Where would I prune and when is the best time to do it? Thanks in advance!!

'It doesn’t require much pruning, usually only if the plant has grown too big and needs to be reduced in size.'
You could try pruning in mid-May--that works for many evergreens.
