Soaking Dahlia Tubers?

honeybeanhoneybean Posts: 50
I potted up 4 Dahlia tubers on Saturday and they are now sitting happily on a sunny windowsill.

I’ve just read in the March edition of GW that I’m meant to soak the tubers for 24hrs before potting up. Is this necessary?

I’m sure I could remove them from their pots and soak them and return them to their pots if needs be as they’ve only been in the pots for 2 days. If I don’t, will this hamper my success?

The Dahlia’s are Happy Days and Purple City.

No need, some people do, but no evidence it makes any difference.
How can you lie there and think of England
