Plastic plug containers

When you buy plugs and small plants online they often come in these plastic cases that open up away from the little plants and their rootball. Can anyone tell me how to reuse them?

    I just use them for sweet pea seeds.

    I've tried but I find them too shallow.
    In London. Keen but lazy.
