When to re pot a Verbernum

I've moved to a property that has left plants in pots, thankfully this tree had the label so I know it's a Verbernum, but do I need to re pot it & if yes when is the best time. The surface was covered in moss & weeds which I've cleared away. Any help please. Thanks

We need a picture of the whole plant, so we can se it’s size compared to the pot.
How can you lie there and think of England

What a bonus! It's a beautiful tree or crocus sells it as a shrub
If youare going to replant into the garden in the future I wouldnt worry about repotting at the moment but remove a couple of inches of soil and replace with fresh, John Innes no 3 preferably. Keep well watered.
  • It's in a 15 inch pot & the tallest branch from the top of the pot is 43 inches. Thanks

The label says it grows to 10ft which I don't really want, so could the height & width be contained if its re-potted into a bigger pot or will it need to go in the ground?

It will be happier in the ground but you can prune to contain the size  to some extent.
