Laurus nobilis pruning

Evening all, just wondering if it is okay to prune Laurus nobilis now? I know it’s usually done in summer but was curious if spring pruning would be okay?

I do it about 3 times a year but not when frost is likely.
Mid/late spring , mid and late summer. But mine is pretty old  and it's large. A younger specimen could probably be trimmed as and when.

@B3 thank you for the advice. Do you think I could get away with pruning it now? It’s a rather large specimen! 😂

I'd wait a few weeks. It won't make much difference to the size of the plant.  I don't know that frost would be a problem but I wouldn't take the risk with mine.

Beautiful in flower this was mine last year,  it’s got too big for me to prune it now without a ladder.

Gardening on the wild, windy west side of Dartmoor.
