Pretty perennials for March planting?

fizzylizfizzyliz Posts: 390
Hi,

Off go get some plants this morning that I can plant this weekend.

Any recommendations for colourful perennials that can be planted now in March? They are for a wall border, north facing and would like a cottagey feel 😊

I feel I will go and have no idea what to pick so any suggestions more than welcome 😀

Thanks!

    Wallflowers certainly!
Hardy geranium,  not pelargonium which are often called geranium.  Pelargonium will need taking out in winter,  geranium is Hardy and perennial. Have fun!

Lupins, scabious,  rudbeckia, aster, gaura, penstemon
I grow annuals from seed also at this time of year to put amongst them like larkspur,  cosmos and zinnia.
