First time gardener here. I grow some viola seeds last Aug/ early Sep and they just finally flowered (took so much longer than said on the package). The variety is back to black but it’s actually a dark red that I also enjoy. My question is - is it normal that they are so tiny? I’ve included a picture. All my viola and pansies are this size regardless grown from seeds or plug plants that came from online ordering. All of them are still seedling size and about 2 inch wide/ tall. Is it normal for them to be so small? Or are they just all bolted?
